In January, 2016, the National Cancer Institute (Lithuania) and Bern University started a Lithuanian-Swiss Cooperation partnership project “Efficiency Research of Internet Based Psychological Treatment for Cancer Patients”. The goal of the project is to unite the experience of scientists in order to create an Internet-based therapy program for cancer patients.
The team of the internship project:
Applicant team leader MD Giedrė Bulotienė, working as a psychiatrist at the National Cancer Institute, Lithuania.
Researcher Sandra Birbilaitė, working as a psychologist at the National Cancer Institute. She is a doctoral student of social science at MRU, Lithuania.
Partner team leader Prof. Thomas Berger, working at the University of Bern's Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.

The project has received funding from Lithuanian-Swiss cooperation program to reduce economic and social disparities within the enlarged European Union under project agreement No CH-3- ŠMM-02/09.
